THE SOLDIER WITH NO NAME
27 - 29 May @
Black & White Theatre Festival - Imatra - Finland
www.kulttuuri.org This production is an exploration of the relationship
between art and social-political change and how
we create our own limits.
The story of this production has been inspired by the
lives and works of French surrealist artists
Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore - pseudonyms of
Lucy Schowb and Suzanne Malherbe.
Their lives were an outstanding commitment to the always endangered
territory of freedom.
As they used many and varied art forms to
express their beliefs, this production combines
different theatre styles; puppetry in the form
of a bunraku puppet, puppetry animation, dance,
physical theatre and the ancient form of
storytelling.
